Khaalid Ibn Al-Waleed (May Allah be pleased with him)

Khaalid ibn Al-Waleed (May Allah be pleased with him) was one of the nobles of the Quraish during the time of ignorance before the advent of Islam and he was called 'the sword of Allah'.

In a hadith narrated upon the authority of Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) who said:

"We stopped at a resting place with the Messenger of Allah peace be upon him and the people were walking by (us). The Messenger of Allah peace be upon him said: 'O Abu Hurairah, who is that?' I would say: 'It is so and so.' He (the
Messenger of Allah peace be upon him) would say: 'Yes he is a slave/worshiper of Allah.' He (the Messenger of Allah peace be upon him) would say: 'O Abu Hurairah, who is that?' And I would say: 'It is so and so.' He (the Messenger of Allah peace be upon him) would say: 'What an evil slave/worshiper of Allah is he.' Then Khaalid ibn Al-Waleed walked by and the Messenger of Allah peace be upon him said: 'Who is that?' So I said: 'That is Khaalid ibn Al-Waleed.' The Messenger of Allah peace be upon him then said: 'Yes, Khaalid ibn Al-Waleed is a slave/worshiper of Allah and a sword from the swords of Allah.'"

Khaalid ibn Al-Waleed was also at the forefront of the Muslim army on the day of the Battle of Hunain.
